What Tattwix is

Tattwix is a tool for hotel check-in. Guests keep their identity details in one place and share them with a hotel they choose; hotels use Tattwix to run check-in, rooms, stays and bills. Tattwix does not verify identity documents and does not decide who a hotel accepts. Each hotel is responsible for its own guest register, its checks on guests and its reporting to authorities, including reporting foreign guests.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 to create an account.
• Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
• Add only your own identity documents. Add companions only when you have their permission, or are the parent or guardian of a child you add.
• Do not pretend to be someone else or share someone else's details without their authority.

Hotels

If you use Tattwix for a hotel, you also agree, for that hotel, to:

• Use guests' details only for their stay and for the records the law requires you to keep.
• Not copy, photograph, download or pass on guests' identity details beyond what the law requires, and delete any local copies when Tattwix access to them ends, unless the law requires you to keep them.
• Give staff only the roles they need, remove staff who leave, and take responsibility for what your staff do in Tattwix.
• Tell us at privacy@tattwix.in within 24 hours if you suspect guests' details have been misused or exposed.
• Keep your hotel's details accurate, and use only photos you have the right to use.

New hotels may get a free trial. Any paid plan will be agreed with you separately before it applies. When a hotel's trial or plan ends, staff can still check guests out but cannot make other changes until it is renewed.

Acceptable use

Do not use Tattwix to:

• break the law or help anyone else do so;
• collect guests' details for anything other than their stay;
• access accounts, hotels or data you have not been given access to, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
• copy, resell or build a competing service from Tattwix.

Content you add

You keep ownership of what you add, such as hotel photos, descriptions and reviews. You let us store and show it to provide Tattwix; for example, a hotel's photos are shown to its guests. Reviews must be honest and about a real stay.

Availability and changes to the service

Tattwix is new and still changing. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Tattwix is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for a hotel's decisions about guests or its own legal duties. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under data protection law or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension and deleting your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts guests or the service at risk. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Stay records you already shared with a hotel stay with that hotel as described in the Privacy Policy. A hotel owner must hand the hotel over before deleting their account.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the effective date above, and we tell signed-in users about changes that matter before they apply. Continuing to use Tattwix after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
